Fortunately I was born just too late, by that point it was vaguely acceptable (probably due to their falling acclaim), although they were still massive, to the point where you'd wonder if anyone had actually created any new music since their peak. Radiohead as well, but as alluded to it was a different demographic. The two bands literally everyone & his dog at least had an opinion on (one way or the other).

Have you guys joined an urban guerilla yet? Words without action is a waste of time.

Guerillas are not popular anymore. Except in some specific countries like Cuba, they're useless now.

It's sad that killing in the name of gets so repetitive after a while, especially when all the verses have the same line.

It's trying to drill home the message. Do you know what the message is?

"He won't do what people tell him?"

He won't do what THE POLICE (not the band) tell him to do.

It's repetitive, yes, but there's a meaning behind it.

You know, the message can not excuse poor musical choices imo. But its repetitiveness never bothered me

'It's sad that killing in the name of gets so repetitive after a while, especially when all the verses have the same line.' (2)

Interesting that we were just talking about Nevermind because Cobain has a chronic 'let's repeat this line' issue - apparent in a lot of Nirvana's most widely recognised songs.

I don't hate him, but damn, that entire era of 80s wannabe-opera singers in metal just ain't for me.

I don't know why people call this style operatic tbh. Opera is totally different. I think they confuse vibrato with opera or something like that idk.

But you don't have to like that of course
