Red is superior yeah but I actually don't mind this album too much nowadays even though it's very one-dimensional

I actually think Black Dahlia Murder's debut (UNHALLOWED) is better than this. Suffers a similar problem - very one-dimensional and loses steam halfway through. But there's a little more slop and character and liveliness to the riffs and solos and (especially) drums on that one that although it often gets derided as ATG worship...it is in fact superior.
