quite a lot of of other prog > this
You have this one all wrong, Jamie. Not a lot of other prog > this!
As for Relayer, it rules but isn't even top 3 Yes.

The problem I have with Yes is that their song writing never grabs me (with the exception of this album's title track). When listening to Yes I feel like I'm mainly appreciating the band's technical abilities as opposed to their compositions and I don't enjoy their overall sound as much as other big prog bands. This is definitely their best but besides the title track (which is a masterpiece) I don't feel like it's top tier prog, the other two songs just don't do that much for me despite having some undeniably excellent musicianship.

Yes are the 'weakest' of the Big 4 of prog imo, the other 3 have made at least 4-5 amazing records.

What's your big 4?
It's never as clear cut as the big 4 of thrash.

King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Yes & Genesis.

Ah, yeah I would have to agree then.
We all know there's one special "prog" band not included in that big 4 that beats all though, right?

I can only place Wish You Were Here above TaaB but no prog can beat TaaB hard.
