And here I was thinking I was wasting my time. I realize now how much worse it could be.

Bro, I'm just drifting around this thread for my conversation with Solrage. If you can't look past my comments, that's your problem, not mine.

"@JohnnyoftheWell Sure, however if one limits the juxtapositions one can make, to be between whatever the dominant culture considers 'high' or 'low art' seems artistically inhibiting. Wouldn't it be far more aesthetically liberating to just do away with limited categories and biased binaries? Besides, wouldn't one's adherence to that binary within their artistic process not also create the risk of reproducing the very limitations that distinction could place upon the art itself, something I reckon isn't necessarily subversive to begin with, certainly not from a postmodern perspective."

"@Johnny:

Thanks for clarifying your position. I will formulate my reply on the Immoto thread as requested."

@Deathconscious Having postmodern views =/= being hipster. Hunter, with his metaphysical ruminations seems completely preoccupied with other matters than the one you've just outlined.

Drag that “fuck off” out into an unnecessarily verbose two-paragraph diatribe about some concept that your freshman intro philosophy course totally made you an expert in and you might get through to him

Not claiming to be an expert in anything. I'm just having a conversation with another person about a matter which apparently interests us both.

fuck off. this album would be worse without all these features. but... personally... i just dont care. actually i dont care. this album makes me feel like god, somehow, and no matter how many shitty features i think would make it worse... it's still better than the hell outta it.

Album Rating: 6.0

who cares, man. this shit is glorious. a real god-send. everything about this album is perfect, there's no features. it's worth it.

have that conversation somewhere else, you dense dumbass, it's not relevant to musical discussion. at least most of the shitposting is relevant to this album.

You’re totally missing the point, you’re more than welcome to have that conversation but there are plenty of other spaces you can move out to where it won’t completely derail any attempt at a musical discussion

I don't see how you cannot just ignore the conversation entirely. It's not depriving you from shitposting anyway. It's as if doing something not in line with conventional thread-culture is just way too much to handle for some people.

The capacity of human intelligence seems to limit the capabilities to expand upon any possible creative aptitudes. Indeed, if one cannot even notice the facets that the ingenuities around him are comprised of, how can he be expected to fashion a beast of his own? This inveterate sense of constraint is a great blow to the veracity of mankind’s abilities. It restrains us and holds our minds to the ground below, averting any possibility of rising above ourselves to something greater; something not fathomed by the conventional mind. This concept of seeking to go beyond one’s self, known as “transcendence”, is essentially a gateway to unlocking pieces of ourselves that can lead to some of the most elaborate and significant creations of our world. For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed.
