I had the "I swear I slipped right through the cracks in the floor" part of Everyone Looks So Good From Here as my ringtone on my Boost mobile flip phone when I was in highschool. My phone went off one time when I stayed after Algebra class to get extra help because I suck at math and my teacher was like "Oh wow, your phone screams at you to answer it." Yeah, true story. Just thought I'd share.

you're ever so inviting, writing on the walls, and to whom it may concern have always been my faves on this. after all this time i still think this remains one of the best albums in the genre

i think it's crazy that people prefer separation to this

separation is soooooooo boring by comparison though
|

Don't see how you can think that when it's essentially this done better

it is so vanilla next to this. everything about it was turned down, even the catchiness

Separation has a bunch of stand out tracks

Disagree, the musicianship was audibly improved and I feel it had an increased sense of cohesion and atmosphere. DTGL was more inspired and passionate, but LITSOS was more refined and well-structured, I guess

way better and more unifying atmosphere here, especially on tracks like casting such a thin shadow and to whom it may concern (separation is devoid of any 'big' songs like these). that one slow song is kind of shitty too. there's a song that does that approach way better on they're only... (some seek forgiveness)

It's been awhile since I've listened to these guys, but they rule. What did you guys think of Disambiguation?
|

It definitely had my favorite "sound" of all their releases, but near the end, the songs were running together for me moreso than this or LITSOS. Need to spin it some more
