Especially BOTDF. If I can only 1 their bullshit, there is no way in hell i am 1'ing 95% of radio rock. that includes Nickelback, I don't really dig them these days but they've never had a completely worthless album imo, usually 1 or 2 tracks are ok

I honestly think it's just as bad. There's no 0.5, so all those bands should easily deserve a 1.0. I just don't listen to those bands so I haven't really handed out 1.0s, it's not worth checking out their stuff imo. Just remember that a 1.0 is still 2 out of 10 so that's actually a really decent score for something as bad as 5FDP or something you despise

Attila has actually made two good albums. That's two albums more than 5FDP.

The last couple albums are debatable but I'd like to think pre-Got Your Six was okay, not completely awful but not good enough to stand repeated listens.

fair enough i just haven't bothered to sit through anything before about that life because i don't have any interest in them. was lulz-listening to the last three more than anything.

Rage and Outlawed are so much fun, and actually have some solid instrumentation too.

I remember digging Payback when I heard that, I'll say that much.

I might spin Rage and Outlawed sometime this week, I'll probably dig some of it. The last three albums were so god awful though, can't even imagine a band going from a 3-3.5 to a 1 in such a short time.
"Pizza" is better than everything on their last three albums too.

I've actually been told I'm too critical of music so people saying I'm generous is a little bit of a compliment.
Then again the people who say I'm too harsh think the new Parkway Drive is a 5/5.

Non-sput people will always say you're too critical of music, because you actually are compared to the average music listener.

lmao pretty much. I mean i even gave the last theory of a deadman album a 2.5 because while it isn't good, nothing there is really offensively bad.

2.5 is my "not good enough to like, not bad enough to hate" rating.

Yeah, makes sense. I just don't grant bands that rating when they make something that honestly bores/annoys me. Average means that it just doesn't really do anything to me, but I can make it through the record without forcing myself. Most records just lose a lot of points due to production or unoriginal/bland songwriting to me

i rarely force myself to finish records tbh
usually if i have to i end up giving up. did that with the dizzee record i 1'd, couldn't stand it at all. ajr i pushed through but that one sucked, eternal enemies i couldn't honestly do it, had to give up 4 or 5 tracks in.

I barely made it through Architects record, but I haven't checked out a lot of stuff this year that I knew I wouldn't like beforehand. Hence the low objectivity haha
