It has excellent melodies, and the songwriting is great.
I'm not a big fan of the vocals though. They're too loud in the mix.

kinsella's songwriting has been pretty bad in recent years, arrangements-wise he nails it constantly but the lyrics/overarching vocal parts of the song are so disconnected and stupid. i saw him (owen) live in rough trade a few weeks ago. he was really good and did play some of his best songs, but those new songs are BAD. and he was waaaaasted

yeah he was great live except for a mess up or two. not a huge fan of the owen stuff hes done in the last few years tbh but im so glad i went hes a chill dude he talked the crowd. definitely has a drinking problem tho he was VERYYYYY drunk at the show it was hilarious

I Do Perceive is probably the best place to start with Owen. New AF has some awesome tunes, lyrics wise it's a bit weak but the melodies are gold for the most part.
