You'll never come to a strong consensus as to which Opeth album is the greatest. You just have to jam every single album. Most people outside of Sputnik would probably say BWP, but I actually think it's one of their "good" albums. Still Life, MAYH, and Morningrise are exceptional.

Agreed on Still Life and My Arms, Your Hearse. Love the concept on Still Life.
Never really liked Morningrise that much, I like To Bid You Farewell the most on that.
Oh and, jam every album, totally worth it.

To be honest, my Opeth no.1 changes between MAYH and BWP, so it shows that quite a few of their albums are consistently top. I also dig Watershed quite a lot, which is kinda unparalleled on sput
