Oh yeah the SS remixes are HORRIBLE. Fucking terrible. I dig the Chill Sessions though cause it's pretty calm and soothing. The Crucify Me remix is great imo.

I thought the Chill Out Sessions were a great set of songs for background noise while studying lol. But man, I used to think Sempiternal was better than this, but I don't even know. I feel like this just showcases their musicianship, whereas Sempiternal showcases their ability to be catchy (and Drown even more so). But I think these last few releases have been pretty solid.

This contrasted way more than Sempiternal. Sempiternal was pretty consistent, but most of the songs weren't as good as the ones on here, but they slipped up a lot on this album

I agree 100% with you Feather. I was gonna write it out but I got lazy. Thought Sempiternal was full of songs 4 - 4.5's (and
two 5s) where as this had most of their good songs as 4.5-5s and tons of 3's. I think they should've substituted
Deathbeds for another song on the album, but I mean I can't complain, it's still great.

Most people disagree with my musical taste, at least for the most part. It seems as if people are more aligned with yours, Choccy, as I've always heard that Sempiternal was too inconsistent, yet it seems to flow nicely to me haha.

Well, it flows nicely, I'll give it that but the songs themselves are too inconsistent. There are some great songs on it, but it's plagued with crap ones like Crooked Young. Some of the hooks are stale after a while too
