Funny thing is when my friend showed Colors to his AP Music theory teacher, despite the fact that the guy hated the screaming and aggression (he's like 45), he said it was very well put together and very impressive instrumentally. @osdm: My friend let me borrow Ashes Against The Grain and I just wasn't digging it. Not to say I never will, though. I find Periphery to be almost more boring than Agalloch, tho, so it's not all about the teknikul shredz for me.
