i’ve always thought that the lower an rym avg the better the album usually is. some of the best g funk albums of all time are sub 3 avg for reasons i really can’t figure out

"If you're not dancing that's cool just don't overanalyze why I am"
got a little lost in the pages of discourse (lol?) afterwards but I wasn't seeking to analyse anyone's liking of this, more my own distaste for it tbh. Now of course the two go hand-in-hand but I wasn't asking anyone to justify their stance. I was particularly interested as a lot of the positive viewpoints tend to include cultural context which I simply don't understand, hence a few of my comments about this and connecting to it on that basis
as far as the danceability or catchiness is concerned, to me it barely registers (which is essentially the 'real' problem here) and I dislike the general sound and production / aesthetic so either way it'd be lost on me, but I do seek to understand the 'why' on occasion. It's certainly a healthier way of viewing music than simply being dismissive or calling people 'idiots' for a difference of opinion (hi Farudo!)

And I disagree. I like dancing to this, no need to overanalyze it

i disagree with demon not finding this catchy and saying it’s not danceable for him. i think he’s dancing right now. that’s just my opinion

lol, I’ve been rumbled
apparently you’re a) not allowed to shitpost with negative comments (fair-ish) but also b) cannot attempt to understand why you don’t like something / why other people do. At what point does ‘analysis’ become ‘over-analysis’, analyse this people
shut down the site guys, this is the end of music discourse as we know it

this is fairly danceable but evacuate the dancefloor is infinitely more danceable to me and its site average is PUTRID compared to this so evidently I am in the minority, where are my fellow cascada fans to balance out the universe
power metal would be better it wasn't a DnD larping session half the time, if I want DnD larping I'd just play EverQuest for greater results

There are maybe two Iced Earth albums I'd say aged relatively well, the rest are trash.

Jesus I take that back, just needed a couple of minutes of the bands' "best" records to remind me why I stopped listening to them like 16 years ago and never looked back
