pretty sure i saw the movie first (which rules) and had the image of viggo mortensen in my head as i read which was just so great
his writing style can be weird for people though, people i've spoken to are either love or hate about him, no inbetween

i think the two albums are relatively different in terms of the majority of things.
oh the versions are different alright, but they are not separate albums which is why my last comment still applies: the difference between an original pressing and a remaster/re-recording/deluxe edition or what-have-you can be significant but i'm not gonna rate em both

Eh, fair enough. Anyway I still obviously enjoyed it as I gave it a 3.5, I just think it was somewhat underwhelming when compared to my first album from the band slow riot

@Ethos: The reason I like The Road so much was because I never read anything like it. The fact that you never find out the characters names is a brilliant storytelling move. Plus it was truly moving to see how far this father was willing to go to protect his son in this fully realized fallout 3 like world Mccarthy created. I was forced to read it junior year but I read it in three days. It's a masterpiece. That's why I love so much.
