I always took the “symbols on their hands now stored on foreheads” as a poke at piousness. I know it was custom to store small pieces of scripture in tiny boxes attached to head garments back in the day, and it seemed to be implied in the Hebrew text that some people used that as a way to flaunt their holiness.

Tonight’s the night I get to see mewithoutYou, Cursive, and The Appleseed Cast in a venue that’s a refurbished barn in the middle of the woods in Iowa (https://www.codfishhollowbarnstormers.com/). It’s the coolest venue I’ve ever been to and I legit expect this to be a spiritual experience.

Lord yeah, it was everything I wanted and more. Appleseed Cast were great and Cursive put on a great live show. Insane energy and their sound is just so unique, which you can pick up even more live.

And then mewithoutYou were pitch perfect. Sounded amazing, so much energy, the crowd was behind them 100%. Aaron is such a unique showman. Their set list was also super interesting, they change it up a lot between shows. Basically the one consistent is Julia, besides that you might get literally anything.
