12 is such a guesstimate though I just remember that pink floyd was the first band I ever got REALLY into. The Wall came first

I was casually into popular PF (Dark Side, some of The Wall) until a friend told me to check WYWH when I was 16. First album that really blew my mind. One of my top favorites ever since.

My dad showed me Floyd when I was like 6. On the plus side, he introduced me to great music at a young age, but the downside was I became one of those "born in the wrong generation" kids for a good few years until MPP came out

@robertsona My first real Floyd experience was also at a summer camp, when I was 15. I met a crazy smart kid named John who had made his own mini music streaming website with a small selection of pirated albums. He gave me access to it and that's when I first listened to The Wall.

Nice to see that my favorite album is the best-rated one on the whole website.

Although I may prefer Comfortably Numb in general, I think Shine On You Crazy Diamond is the definitive progressive rock track, especially "Parts I-V".
