Just sounded so plastic on the album.
S&M, on the other hand, he was never better.
Fuel obviously fuckin' slays, and I have a soft spot for Memory because it just hits so different live. U2 is good, but I've always felt it pales in comparison to the OG. I honestly like U3 better by a mile. There's some good riffs in there, but besides Fixxxer I'd really rather not listen to anything else on it.

Agreed, and IMO that song is monstrously slept on.
I fully admit it is probably because of my personal introduction to it, seeing the debut of the music video as a nine-year-old or whatever and being super creeped out but waaaaaay more curious and drawn to it. I'd heard the black album around of course but I didn't really care about it. This was my intro to 'tallica.

oh yeah the video is wild lol. i think puppets was my first but def had the first 5 on repeat as a kid. and i do appreciate this album a bunch more than when i was a kid who was let down it wasn't thrash. it's aged pretty well honestly even if it's a "sellout" album. fits with the times for sure but has their own blues and southern influence which makes it pretty interesting.

Cool creepy, dark video. Also this song is way better than Enter Sandman. So fucking sick of that lawl.
