leper messiah has always been one of my fave mop tunes

I'd qualify To Live Is To Die as a bad song, even though it doesn't have bad riffs. It's just that it sounds like they're just playing all their leftover Cliff riffs randomly without developing them, just "here's this riff! here's this riff!" and it just kind of wanders with no purpose for ten minutes. The spoken word part is awesome though.
Leper Messiah's first section is only pretty good, not up to album standards I would say, but then that jumpy little riff in the middle is about my favorite on the album.

This has to be the best review on sputnik for sure. Couldn't agree more. This review is just like metal, it's not just an album review, it's more than that.

"Eye Of The Beholder" is easily Metallica's most underrated 80's song, that or "Frayed Ends".

Eye of the Beholder definitely isn't the worst on AJFA. Now that I think about it, it's hard to pick out which one is.

It's hard to pick out a bad song on an album when there are no bad songs to pick out.

I firmly believe ...And Justice For All is Metallica's highest point.

Interesting opinion newbie. It was the first metal cd and Metallic record I bought so lotta nostalgia for me. RTL, MOP, and this are all literally dead even for me.

Metallica's progression into more complex and masterful songwriting is nothing short of immaculate.

^yep And Justice rules. Not sure if it's their best though, that probably goes to RtL.

This is a really, really fucking great review.
Also, Metallica certainly evolved into masterful songwriters. I don't know if everyone would say that all their work demonstrates that trait, but I checked out Death Magnetic again one or two days ago, listening to it somewhat carefully, and I noticed that Cyanide flows really really well. Same for All Nightmare Long and The Day That Never Comes, the latter of which is fantastic for a track that's essentially blatant One worship. A few songs don't flow that well, but those all do.

AJFA is only very slightly below this IMO, then MoP.
More or less how I feel about the three Metallica albums that are pretty unanimously loved.
Also, Frayed Ends of Sanity is probably the best track on AJFA.
