i love load and i don't think they're cut out for all out thrashing for an entire album so i'm alright with it. my opinion on the actual record isn't set in stone yet, though

A huge step up from this but still a bit artificial, which I guess is pretty much expected from a Metallica release in 2016. It works well overall.

The mixing still isn't as good as their old work, but I'd say it's at least better than Death Magnetic in that regard.
