Ha true.

Opeth have much better albums than BWP in my opinion. Still Life / My Arms Your Hearse / Morningrise to name three.

Opeth are sweet man.

I thought you said this was less exciting than BWP. I need to go to bed and it's ten to one in the afternoon.

i really need to check MAYH, Demon of the Fall is one of my favourite metal songs ever.

I like Opeth, they write tons of great songs, I just find myself getting bored while listening to their full lengths (BWP and Still Life did nothing for me). I have Orchid dl'd though so im gonna give that one a chance.

also I love Damnation and Heritage

In this website and in RYM even the most acclaimed album have detractors. Even I found some detractors of rust in peace and in absentia.

The Moor and The Amen Corner are some of my favorite metal songs of all time.

"OK Computer/Focus/Rust in Peace/Jane Doe"

heh, 3/4 of those are 5's for me. try and guess which one isn't without cheating!

i used to be pretty into Opeth, I had a mix of a bunch of their songs and i used to jam them in high school a lot. Ghost of Perdition is a great track, and I pretty much love all their soft stuff-i think Harvest is a perfect song. i just never got into their albums, and when i did try it didnt do much for me. probably because I was a huge metal head and was expectign something heavier

Same here really, they're nowhere near the best Opeth albums imo. Definitely check out MAYH it destroys Still Life and BWP.

That's questionable. MAYH is a flawaless album with a lot of great progressive metal tunes, but I found more interesting and intense the songs of still life and blackwater park
