It's definetely a progressive style, just check out "Voices in the Fan" and "Bastard" on youtube or something, they are great.

Yes they do. I think The Great Misdirect made everybody start hating on them so much, which is sad because Colors and back are all ridiculously good.

Great Misdirect may actually be my favorite. . Colors is just what got me into them so it's sentimental

TGM is around a 4. TSC and Colors are 5's. Alaska rests between a 4 and 4.5. So yeah, the band is awesome, and when TGM came out people were like
