I think this is their best album, and one of my favorites of all time.

This really is an absolute classic. I just hope it (and High Violet) will get the retrospective appreciation they truly deserve, decades on.

I'm quite positive they'll get retrospective praise and they'll be labeled as classics, the three of them (HV, this and Alligator)

I've come around to thinking that all 4 of their latest are classics, tho I think Trouble is the tiniest bit inferior to the previous 3. Depending on the day this is basically tied with TDAGARIM, the Blue album, and Home Like No Place Is There for my absolute favorite album of all time.

Apartment Story is the best song they've ever written.

I used to not even like that song....and now I have to say that I still disagree with that statement, but I love it now. It's definitely one of their top 10

This didn't click with me even at 5+ listens and then I listened to Alligator and I finally found what makes them so good. This album's still very nice though.

Yeah it took listening to the right album for them to really click. For me it was Trouble. After i heard that they became a favorite band of mine. I wonder if theyll be announcing a new album soon, based on when the last two albums were released we should be due for one this year.

They've already said they're definitely not releasing one this year - they've been quoted as saying they'll need longer writing this time.

Change of direction perhaps

After a few years of relatively few spins, I play this one almost everyday. Now Alligator is the one taking a back seat

I would a new National album but their stuff is so good, it could keep me busy for a few years yet

This is my favorite for sure, but there are compelling arguments to made for most of their albums.

Just tie your woman to your wrist, give her room to tie the other

"Guest Room" is quite an underappreciated song, I feel.
