I think the punk comparisons are fair. Compare Slayer to any of the other big four and there are obvious punk leanings, which is awesome imo

Slayer are "the big one" of the four IMO.

Well it does have crossover aspects, no disagreement there. Like I said, the Discharge influence is clear. Still, to me, this is not a punk record tho.
Even though I might have (read: probably) misunderstood the original statement so I gotta hang my head in shame there.

Slayer covered like 3 minor threat songs they were clearly heavily influenced by hardcore punk as well as metal i don’t get the confusion

"Slayer covered like 3 minor threat songs they were clearly heavily influenced by hardcore punk"

Never said anything otherwise, did I? It's clear they were influenced by hardcore punk. I just don't see that this is more of a punk record than a metal record myself.

Calm your tits brews, chimone, i never said this is a punk record, it's obviously metal, but with a "punk like" musicianship, i don't see how it's that hard to see

"this is more like a punk album"

That's what you said and if I misunderstood - which I probably did - I already apologized. So don't get cute with me now, jabroni.
