I've always believed Motorhead are monotonous as hell, they are fun, but that's about it

Yes they are to a certain point, but so is everybody, you guys say BS is sometimes, it is impossible to be completely different every song every album, Motorhead have different things going on in their albums, it just don't hit you in the face, I thin k Overkill is pretty diverse, but there is no denying their energy, and balls out style, some great lyrics along the way too.

It is ok to like different bands for different reasons, that is what is great about music. I like everything from 20 minute prog, jam or jazz fusion to 2 minute punk songs

That Luke's Wall riff is so drone metal. Tony really set the standards for every subgenre of heavy metal.

Stone cold classic album. Paranoid (the single) suffers from over exposure over 40+ years, but the album as a whole, is fucking epic. So much riffage, Iommi doesn't get the accolades he should. Planet Caravan seems to polarize listeners, but I love the mellowness of it among the monster riffs. Hand of Doom is possibly my favorite Sabbath tune. We all know Oz is not the greatest voice, but he really nails that one.

Possibly he does, but he rarely gets mentioned in the same breath as Blackmore, Page & other great guitar players of his era. Sabbath was always the poor cousin to Purple & Zeppelin. That was the point I was trying to make.

Iommi is way more mentioned than Blackmore, he's pretty much the biggest influence in metal

Blackmore's definitely the most overlooked of the three, Deep Purple are known by the mainstream media and most people as the band that created Smoke on the Water and nothing else
