"Tough guy" metal like that usually isn't my forte. Phil is a jackass. The scooped mid guitar tone on the album is annoying. And 5FDP is basically just a shittier Pantera. Plus one need not look any further than 2016 Dimebash.
The whole aura around that band is so toxic. "But Venin didn't you say not to judge Sleep 5oken on external factors?" If it comes out that there's tangible evidence beyond speculation then go for it.
