the fact that this was written in the 2020s and sounds fresh is insane considering it wears its influences on its sleeves

Y'all should check out Chalk Hands (there's a review on here). They do a similar thing where it's new, but has 2000s screamo stylings with tinges of emo/post-rock. They aren't quite this heavy, more in the direction of like Mesa Verde and their peers. But I think many of you will like.
