How in the hell is she as exposed as those artists listed though? That honestly is a bad take.

@Mongi: Again, not a claim I made. I listed her collabs purely to show how frequently she's popping up all over the place. Being prolific and getting your name out there isn't bad, until the general public gets sick of hearing your name everywhere (Taylor Swift was in danger of this in her 1989 era).

If Phoebe is planning a new album this Fall or early next year, it might feel "too soon" since she never went away. Downtime is good to make your audience crave your return.

luci: expresses feeling regarding feeling overexposed to phoebe bridgers

americanflagash: lol why are you upset shes popular? can u not correlate?

buddy, anyone who says stuff like sit down or touch some grass is usually the person who needs to do that. its such a ridiculously 'permanently online' insult in the first place.

I am responding to what Mort said as far as the “overexposed” thing goes. I know how to fucking read.

You said “overexposed,” just as luci said. And I was using those artists as examples.

"also, you literally said I can’t remember the last time an indie artist was as overexposed as her."

Yep, it's definitely unusual for an indie singer/songwriter to get this much press, and this fast. She might be considered a fully mainstream artist at this point? My claim there isn't related to the list of collabs, sorry if that wasn't clear.

you guys are vastly overestimating her popularity if you think “the general public” is gonna get tired of her because of it. the general public has no idea who Phoebe Bridgers is she’s barely famous, and that’s pretty much the opposite of how popularity works anyway, especially nowadays

I haven't even heard about her since the smashing guitar "incident" but I also don't pay close attention to this scene at all

She definitely blow up in popularity after this album, but she is not "popular" nor do I think she is "overexposed"

It's just a weird thing to complain about, hell I want her to keep being exposed to more people, but whatever
