it could have been better tbf but i think they just need more time to refine everything is all.

then again I could take 5 years refining the tracks I have right now and Kenbo would probably still give me a 2 on a good day lmao

The band could easily make R&R 2.0 but from a new perspective.

But instead we got shitty radio rock and a garbage rap feature.

Honestly curious to what they'll do next. I hope they'll go into the direction of Alone in a Room more, maybe add some of the epic stuff they did on R&R

That would be interesting. Also... get a decent producer for once. Shit, even Howard Benson would do well compared to Matt Good.

love it or hate it... I Am Human's production was phenomenal and guess who did that album? Howard Benson.

Sturgis hasn't produced anything since 2016, what the fuck is he doing

Yeah the production was awful. I liked some synthy bits but man the record sounded horrible. AA + Kurt Ballou/Steven Wilson/Jens Bogren would be very exciting

No clue, Kenbo.

Musically and lyrically I didn't mind most of that album although it was bland at times, but that production was god-awful. They're lucky I try to see past production flaws and judge the actual compositions. To which those were not even that awful, it's too inoffensive to hate but somehow people managed to hate it anyway LOL.

A lot of radio rock tends to be too bland and inoffensive to hate, but perhaps that blandness is what incites such ire in some.

@Steak: Nah i get that, just that statement sounded like you want bands to stay the same their entire career. you want that? try AC/DC, might suit you better.

I don't at all have that mentality, it's just this band was fun and then they weren't

Lol. No, the sky has always been red, like the blood of the commies we fought decades ago. :^)

No but seriously, bland and inoffensive to me is rarely enough to make me care enough to hate it. I guess people see it as on par with laughably awful ala BOTDF, newer 5FDP.
