I really, really appreciate what Blackstar is and it has quite a few stellar cuts. But a good number of songs on it are disposable for me.

Blackstar is an expansion of the Aladdin Sane t/t which is one of my all-time fav Bowie songs so the album is that much better to me

The hype before it came out was immense, even non-Bowie fans were getting excited.

I really have to get back to Bowie, after he died I checked a few of his albums and loved them but I moved on to other things.

It was horrible when he died but the aftermath was wonderful because so many people were discovering his music for the first time, even the more overlooked albums such as Outside and BTWN.

It was kinda funny how the local mainstream pop station began to play his hits from the 70s besides the typical Changes, like Rebel Rebel, Ziggy Stardust, "Heroes", Fame, etc. For a moment it was like reliving a frame of time in early Rock N Roll history

The same thing happened when prince died too. Like all of a sudden these old songs were being played side by side with Katy perry and Jason derulo
