At least I can see what they were trying to do here, this definitely seems less aimless than Sorceress (now). Starts off quite strongly. Having said that it meanders far too often (in the 2nd half especially). Voice of Treason is just bad and I’m not actually a fan of the closer either.
Spiritual prequel to In Cauda in many ways, but without some of the consistent flair that made that release infinitely more enjoyable. I’ll award this a basic ‘pass’ on revisiting. Not particularly good, but not terrible either.

Not top tier Opeth by any means, but a damn sight better than Sorceress.
