i dont mind some pop, in fact i find lately its been getting a bit better in general, but there is still a ton of god fucking awful popular radio top 40 music

as there has always been since the beginning of time~

im liking the "anti-chorus" trend in pop right now, seeing songs fake out choruses with flat beat drops and what not is a pretty cool sound.

i'm liking the "i have gone so far down the being a hipster elitist rabbit hole even though i'm only 16 years old that i'm now going to pretend mainstream pop is exceptionally good" trend right now

but yea 70s and 80s pop had some bangers, and wasn't afraid to experiment with stuff

I disagree hard there, because there were some damn fine years in that stretch of time. I will agree 2009-2012 was an absolute joke however.
