"i think they warrant people to each do with the information what they will individually
i kinda like reading into it personally... i find it interesting
but at the end of the day it doesnt affect my opinion of her or her music either way "
Fair enough.
"yeah well... most things can be revealed with time, people still wonder anyways"
And they can wonder as much as they want to. Maybe I personally just don't care enough to do so.

‘Go’ was a producer track made with her friend Blood Diamonds for Rhianna, but she didn’t end up picking it up so Grimes decided to release it under her own name instead. The song had nothing to do with the scrapped album. Is it so hard to believe that she decided to scrap the album for the reasons that she’s actually been saying? I’m guessing the same people saying otherwise probably think that she’s a liar and doesn’t produce her own music or videos either because she’s a girl.

^One of the scrapped songs. Apparently it’s about a close friend that committed suicide.

would be pretty cool to hear a depressing grimes album but she's one of only like 4 artists who make happy music i dig so w/e

For what it's worth it's 'boring' speculation based on following her over social media for the last couple of years waiting for the new album, as opposed to mindless shit posting.

I mean is it really easier to believe that she was that willing to "sell out" than that online media would spin a story for clicks?
She's one of the most varied singers around; every song she releases is different from the last, yet whenever she releases something that leans in a more accessible direction everyone loses their collective shit. I'd hate to have her fanbase

It's not exactly uncommon though for artists who change their sound to be constantly shit on for it, or to be accused of selling out. I prefer artists that try to do something different than those who rehash the same old shit and try to emulate their prior success.
I'm not a big fan of her latest tracks personally, but the production and attention to detail is definitely leagues above anything else she's done.

Did people do that? Because I honestly don't know, I mean some people here have and some people on the intahwebs will but I wonder how many people who go to her concerts etc do that.
Also, I'd hate to be ANYONE with a fanbase. Except for maybe Andrew W.K.

'David' is definitely darker, that's for sure. I mean it's completely understandable if she scrapped it, whether it's because people thought it was shit or she thought it was depressing. Deep down, you ask anyone who put their work/art out there, if people give a negative reaction, it's gonna have an effect on you. She's human.
If it sees the light of day, everyone can make their own judgement then but till that moment, people gonna speculate.
Scream is a jam but I wish it had more of her vocals.

David sounds really cool. Hope she releases it at some point
"Did people do that?"
they did it with Go and they're doing it with Flesh Without Blood, as if those songs were to define her sound from now on

" Deep down, you ask anyone who put their work/art out there, if people give a negative reaction, it's gonna have an effect on you. She's human."
To some degree, possibly but I would wager that an artist (and particularly a female artist) who has been putting out work for some years now has adapted to the (often shitty) environment of art and the various forms of shitstorms being thrown at you.
"they did it with Go and they're doing it with Flesh Without Blood, as if those songs were to define her sound from now on"
Yeah, but how many people? I mean, are you just taking information from Sputnik? Youtube? Other sources? I was just curious as to how fear spread it is because you can never be sure how representative on a respective medium/site is.
