The definition of a masterpiece. Lots of imaginative and evocative instrumentation on here.

Yeah it might be vaguely fucked up how often I listen to Desolation Song before sleeping, kind of a downer of a lullaby

At first I thought that the music was a lil' bit too repetive and amateurish, but how wrong was I? The instrumentation and the atmosphere are so impeccably tasteful and immersive, damn..

the outro of Great Cold Death would be a perfect ending, but I guess Desolation has a place too. kind of like the story's been told around a winter campfire, and now the teller wraps it up with a reflection.

Desolation is the one song on here that really stands alone, the rest of the tracks are fantastic but have to be listened to in sequence. Desolation on the other hand I regularly listen to before sleep and its ending feels like an ending instead of a transition to another song (which being the last track I guess makes sense haha)
