I'm curious about something: what do zoomers think of Soundgarden? It's clear they love Nirvana and Alice in Chains, a decent portion of that due to Kurt & Layne's early deaths giving them a "what could've been" mysticism. On the other hand I feel like zoomers barely give a fuck about Pearl Jam. I don't see as many zoomers into Soundgarden as they are Nirvana and AIC, but Chris' death definitely fits with the tragedy of grunge, albeit in a different way.

I’m right on the border of being a millennial and zoomer (born mid 97), and that’s pretty accurate.

I fucking hate Pearl Jam save Black and that’s just for a very personal reason, I just can’t stand Eddie Vedder’s vocals most of the time.

Nirvana are cool imo, Nevermind is overrated as shit but I love In Utero. Soundgarden’s whole discography is pretty solid but they absolutely peaked with Badmotorfinger and Superunknown.

Alice In Chains is just the best by a fucking mile

and btw had tickets to see Dillinger Escape Plan opening for Soundgarden for a few days after Chris died. Seriously one of the shittiest weeks of my life.

god that fucking sucks, I would definitely have my weeks ruined if I bought tickets for a show after Chris died

Yeah man, I know it sounds selfish and privileged, like somebody died for gods sake, but I’m super bummed that I’ll never see Soundgarden live. And that was also my last chance to see Dillinger, who I probably like even more.

Only song I don't dig too much on here is My Wave, just not on the level of virtually every other song on here.
