I feel like Meshuggah peaked too early. Even if they found their sweet spot on Nothing, I feel like subsequent albums feel quite similar to it, whereas this album does sound like Meshuggah but, with different kind of feel. It's rather hard to put it in words, but I'd say, it's an 'organic' sound, for lack of a better term. Whereas subsequent releases tend to sound 'mechanical'.
