This album was the first I bought after moving into my first flat I think, was winter time 2002.

Bought the one before this when it came out and absolutely loved it for 5mins then forgot about it until Takk came out but it quickly became advertisement fodder and everyone was sick of ‘em.

An important band though, would love to see them live.

I think my biggest gig-related regret is that I didn’t hop on a plane to see them live in the 00s. The footage from Heima or Inni is magnificent. I wonder if they still deliver those powerful shows nowadays.

Watched them at Brixton Academy twice and Alexandra Palace once - all the shows were real good, great live band.



Takk was more commercial but it’s still my favourite by them, I like them being a bit more conventionally rockist in places.

Sigur Ros at Glastonbury 2016 was the greatest musical experience of my life. Nothing comes close. Such a shame they didn't release some of the songs they played properly. Holy fuck it was amazing.
