One point - who is even the support band at these shows? Like I’ve not seen a single mention of support acts for these shows at all. It’s like when Moose Blood came back last year and then the supports weren’t announced until a week before the show and they were some local bands no one had heard about.

Not sure if it's what's happening here but when I last saw Brand New in 2017 (literally days before the remainder of their tour got cancelled) they didn't have any opening band at all.

Okay I lied. Apparently a band called 'Nada Surf' (?) opened, but their set list was over before I even arrived at the venue. Strange. Especially since I did not arrive particularly late. And I can vividly remember BN coming on, like... well before an hour after doors.
