This album is testament that you can never write anything off.
I was 16 when this came out and back then I’d have written it off as 20min long incomprehensible shouty vox and noodling. 🗑
I’m approaching 40 now and this album is more vibrant, refreshing, rich and intoxicating than a lot of stuff I’ve ever heard.

Definitely enjoying this album's speed now.
If had to criticize some of the Opeth's mid era is its mid-pace tbh, although I truly think they got away with it with beautiful dynamic and enthusiastic songwriting.

This band is driving me bloody insane with how it constantly makes me flip flop between what my current fave album of theirs is.
This is it at the moment. This album holds something in its execution that the others don’t plus the opener and closer are amazing.
