This just edges out Stranger for me, but that album is absolutely marvellous outside of a couple cuts

least surprising news I've heard all day

Can't remember the last time an indie artist has been as overexposed as Bridgers. It's been two years since this record but she won't give us a damn break to miss her. Constant song features, soundtrack deals, celebrity news etc. It's too much.
Since 2020 she's guest starred on songs by *deep breath*: The Killers, Taylor Swift, Kid Cudi, Paul McCartney, Ethan Gruska, Lord Huron, Luminous Kid, MUNA, Bright Eyes, Noah Gundersen and Marcus Mumford.

People just aren't use to ''''rock'''' artists being promoted these days.

“Last 2 songs here are still immense”
I Know the End is the only reason I like this more than Stranger.

Exactly why I miss the simpler times when I just knew her as "The girl in Better Oblivion"
"People just aren't use to ''''rock'''' artists being promoted these days."
Also this tho lol

Fun fact, Moon Song is all about Connor Oberst. The two of them had a relationship larger than just creating Better Oblivion. Confirmed by the fact she changes the live lyrics to dead 'yellow' bird in reference to him.
For those who aren't fanboys ... from Bright Eyes song "Poison Oak": “And I never thought this life was possible / You’re the yellow bird that I’ve been waiting for”

I didn't know that, but it's interesting. A bit of an age gap there but whatever. That definitely adds some context to Moon Song. I'm guessing there were tracks on Down in the Weeds that referenced Phoebe as well, considering the albums were released during the same summer.

See I thought they had more than just a friend relationship, but I remember trying to look that up and finding nothing

I somehow knew that back in 2020. makes the lyrics on that one even worse

'Wow I didn't read this till now, but this is such a shitty take lmao, why are you mad about her being popular'
theyre not mad about her being popular, theyre saying shes overexposed.
being popular relates to the amount of people into her music
overexposure relates to constantly being in the news, constantly releasing music, always being there. like they said, they havent had a chance to miss her. often people find they enjoy things less when theyre constantly exposed to them. its nice to have a break
learn to read before you call other peoples takes shitty lmao
