CD version is compressed to hell but the kick drum bothers me on the vinyl version regardless of what I listen to it with

imo destroyers is their best production wise

Agreed destroyers sounds best. Production isnt the biggest factor for me rating anything tbh. If someone can honestly 5/5 a norwegian black metal album from the 90's but dock marks on ulcerate for their production something is askew in their skull. I have heard the vinyl too and yeah it sounds better. The cd is good enough for me though. If i start collecting vinyls ill be literally broke tho.. Its bad enough with how often i buy cds.

Yeah old CDs are expensive enough. This dude in Germany sells a huge selection of stuff on ebay and I just bought 16 90s original presses from him... so sick.

Thats proper. When i was in germany i found a record shop that had an orginal pressing of assuck's misery index for 8 euro. Such a steal. Germany does things right lol

Yeah but that is meant to sound raw. This mix just sounds messed up to me at times. And not on purpose, I think. The DR just isn't there on any release but the vinyl.

Just seems like such a dismal gripe considering how amazing the music is, is all. Not hating on anyone for disliking the production. I can certainly see the room for improvement.

I don't normally feel so strongly about it but when I feel like I can't properly hear what's going on then I start to complain about it.

Tour with Gorguts and Immo would be killer. Call it the Pleiade's Shrines of Atonement tour.

This sounded a little better with speakers but god damn those blast beats still annoy the living hell out of me. What a shame. The calmer moments are really good tho

I had the hardest time with the blasts yeah. They're too much on anything but the vinyl mix.
