Keep trying with this record keep coming up short
My girlfriend and I were listening to it in full today and about 75% of the way through we had this conversation where we agreed it’s just like, at a certain point in the tracklist you’re like ok Frank buddy, you done yet buddy?
I’m usually not this way when it comes to artists exploring new avenues and pushing their creativity but at a certain point on this record it just starts to feel so tired. A 9 minute closer after Seigfreid and Godspeed? Come on bro. Just close it out with White Ferrari and call it a day (Night). Just my two cents

It's unfortunate that you feel that way about this, norma. Everyone can't love everything, though. I don't think I like it as much as Channel Orange, but I thought this was really interesting throughout its runtime. And I can never repeat enough how perfect of a song Nights is, also.

definitely a defining album of the 2010s. it is kinda long but like, just don’t listen to it all at once

I’ve been a contrarian towards this album but at the end of the day it is iconic without a doubt. Frank was huge for me growing up, I have good memories of the teases and countdown to release day, and the fuck you to Apple with Endless was pretty epic.
