I mean I thought Sempiternal was amazing and this was a step down but it really isn't that bad. I feel like the issue is that people here rate music quite unevenly. They'll 1.0 this album and still swear that brokencyde or design the skyline or whoever is the worst thing known to man lol. This is definitely average at worst.

it's not their fault that 1 is the lowest rating they can give. doesn't mean all 1s are on equal footing.

It isn't their fault, but knowing how the system works wouldn't it be best to work around that? Assuming that 1 is the worst it can get and 5 the best. I don't know how well the argument of "well the scale is broken/incompatible" really fits since you can clearly divide things between 1-5. Might just be me though.
