This whole album eats the new one and shits it out without even noticing.

Minerva is such a cool track no. I also quite like Bloody Cape. For sure this is a more straight forward release but I don't mind it that much. Would say this is a barely a 3.5 at the moment though

Absolutely not. Lucky You is out of place and Moana is literally their weakest closer. Lovers could’ve replaced 90% of the tracks here and it’d be a better record for it

Moana still rules, it’s another rockin tune, not every record needs a “closer” especially since it’s not even played as one

I just can’t help but compare it to the ones directly before and after… Pink Maggit and Rivière are just so much better and end those albums so perfectly. As does This Place is Death and What Happened to You?
Honestly now that I think about it’s almost def their worst closer. I get what you’re saying but they have such a strong track record of songs closing their albums so well that Moana sticks out like a sore thumb.
MX is really the only one that I’d argue doesn’t really “feel” like a closer but it’s also just a much better track than Moana. Even Adrenaline, an album that I think is by far their weakest, has the one two punch of Fireal and Fist, two of the best tracks there.

damone is the real closer there anyways

I suppose but even then I don’t think it’s particularly great as a closer. Also really just wish Spotify would drop the 37 min track bullshit, get their fucking heads out of their asses and make Damone a separate track
I don’t even give a shit if that’s technically the band’s responsibility fuck Spotify on principle

Yeah the whole silence between tracks just does not work on streaming services. But Spotify cannot help that, Deftones should make a separate release or something. I don't want streaming services to be able to change tracks by artists lol

I agree that lovers should have been on here, but I like lucky you and moana.
But saying it could replace 90 procent? Hexa, Needles, Minerva, Girls, Battle and Bloody all destroy anything on private music imo.

Moana one of my least favourite 'Tones songs tbh

Fuck it. Im bumping my rating because this album aged extremely well. Sure "Moana" and "Lucky You" arent as good as most stuff here and it might not be as cohesive as ATF or WP but some of their best material was written during this time. Production is also excellent.
