Had a sweet set at download and I wish I went but there was too much crap this year. Surprisingly didn't play anything from PC

Did they play any pre-BWP material?

Demon and demon alone. Still a strong setlist nevertheless.

Only 6 songs? Good set though, Heir and BP are top 10

Saw a couple of videos from it and Mikael's growls still raise a couple of eyebrows for me, but not that it matters on PC or anything.

Could be worse, they only played 5 songs from that epic Sonisphere set a couple of years ago but that clocked at about 45 minutes in the end I think

Is the set on YT? I'll have to check out Deliverance at the very least. Every Opeth DVD has BWP on it.

There's a fan video of BWP which has tolerable sound quality but Mikael's voice will disappoint you. I'm hoping for some Opeth highlights on the Rock Show tonight on Radio 1

Same thing happened to the Katatonia singer around the same time, I guess late 30's is when the voice can't handle the strain of growling anymore

Mikael must have passed his bug to Jonas then. Nah, I heard on an interview it's cos of his in ear feedback equipment which he only started using on the Watershed tour.

Regardless, it should be fixed right now; it's kinda distasteful especially compared to his vocals on The Roundhouse Tapes

His vox on the Lamentations DVD are even better. He sounds like a fucking beast on Master's Apprentices.

If his voice is too shot from doing hard vocals, Im just glad Mikael can still do quality cleans

I saw them in late 2008 and he sounded at his usual best (during the Watershed tour). Must've sloped after then I guess .

Sounded disappointing on the Albert Hall DVD
