That riff midway through "Doin' the Cockroach" is the best thing ever. [3]
YER WALKIN DOWN THE STREET
YA FACE YA LIPS YA HIPS YA EYES THEY MEE-E-E-EET, YER NOT HUNGRY THOUGH
*best riff in indie rock history*
Listened to LCW while completely whacked out on edibles last week and that part set my fuckin bones on fire man

Yeah man, Doin the Cockroach is some serious shit man. It don’t fuck around. Doin the Cockroach-Cowboy Dan-Trailer Trash is a knockout trio of songs. That said, Teeth Like God’s Shoeshine could very well be my favorite MM song. It’s top 3 at the very least. Gets me fucking pumped still, even after hearing it probably a hundred times.

God my top 3 MM would probably be Cockroach, Dark Center of the Universe, and uhhhhh Dramamine I guess?? Idk man this band has way too many stone-cold classics to cut it down to just 3

Yeah it’s tough. But Teeth Like God’s Shoeshine, Talkin Shit About a Pretty Sunset and Cowboy Dan are probably my top 3.
Trailer Trash, Cockroach, Ohio, Polar Opposites, Dramamine, Beachside Property, 3rd Planet, Gravity, The Stars Are Projectors, Life Like Weeds, The World at Large, The view, Spitting Venom, Breakthrough, Heart Cooks Brain, Bankrupt on Selling, Custom Concern and Little Motel would fill out my top 20.
Such an amazing fucking band.

One of the greatest moments in music for me remains the opening chords to "Third Planet."
Just sends the mind back instantly, like an injection of nostalgia.

The entirety of this album is one of the greatest moments in music.
But I agree that opening is totally perfect, hauntingly desolate.
