but with neurosis they own the rights to all of their albums (which isn't the case for a lot of bands) so i don't know why one album of theirs wouldn't be available

Do they even own the rights to all of their albums? I was under the presumption that they own the rights to everything except Through Silver In Blood through The Eye Of Every Storm as those were and still are under the rights of Relapse at least vinyl pressings of said albums.

Yeah, I was wrong. I even completely overlooked the fact that they released that massive CD and vinyl discography box set during their 30th anniversary year which would've been an obvious sign that they own the rights. I even found a brief mention of why they left Relapse from the 2016 Neurosis only issue of Decibel where SVT mentions the band buying out their contract over not being able to release albums under Neurot even though they thought was part of the agreement which turned out not to be entirely true. As for Sovereign, Relapse licensed the vinyl release to Hydra Head and they did only two pressings of it; the first in 2000 and the last in 2011 for RSD.
