@ keaton it varies by song

A lot of the time, the actual back beat of the song is kept by the cymbal hits and not necessarily the snare. For example, in a song like Clockworks, the cymbal hits ground the song in 4/4 time; each hit is a quarter note and there are 4 beats or hits per measure. I.e. easier/makes more sense (to me at least) to headbang to. That's what I was referring to.

But also a lot of the time (and not necessarily congruently with the cymbal hits) the snare hits reflect the 4/4 backing time signature by having a uniform hit (or two) per measure, like Bleed for example. Which is why I said that technically what u said was not incorrect.

Sometimes both of these elements are present and sometimes neither are. It depends on the song and the section of the song.

Never seen you so scholarly, very nice. The Shug rhythms may indeed both be deceptively simple and/or deceptively complicated.

I like how their YT comment sections always devolve into who really GETS their music.

Sometimes stuff just grows hard. Seeing this played live really put it in perspective on how great this is.

I'm getting the Blu-Ray+Artbook at some point. Heard the surround atmos mix is absolutely amazing. A friend of mine who produces music told me it's the best surround mix he's ever heard in metal music. Can't wait to downmix that shit into stereo and play it in fake surround on my setup (if I was rich I could have a 7.1 setup but I'm a pleb so I will have to eat the lentils, which taste pretty good aswell you know!)

Whole album goes so hard it's impossible not to think of it in terms of cornerstone status. This band is the Death of the 21st century and they will go down in metal history as such.

PS: Rulessssssss!!! \M///
