t/t is not at all what I listen to this band for, but I can dig the first half. Coda way overstays its welcome and is a pretty corny note to bow out on imo

Greg's vocals @ around 2:20 on Limerent Death are unbelieveable

Limerent Death as the lead single AND album opener was such a smart move. It's probably the best single they ever put out, and it definitely set the right tone for their final album. What a way to go.

Reminder Limerent deaths vocals where recorded in one take.

Seeing the new wave of Mathcore and after listening to that Better Lovers EP i am actually really kind of understanding Ben pulling the plug. Dont get me wrong it would be fucking amazing for them to come back. I think I understand what they meant by taking a bow and calling it quits at the top of their game. Letting new blood into the mathcore scene. Its been a treat to see Greg go out and do his own thing, Billy being unleashed to do.some insane drumming, Liam with Azusa and Ben starting his animal sanctuary and spending time with his family. I hope better lovers sticks I do but the ep didnt work for me

Try to listen to track 4 on the EP again. It's fantastic

holy shit

lots of new info there that completely contradicts much of what's speculated about the breakup straight from the horse's mouth

The fact that Ben and Greg haven’t spoken in five years hurts my heart

was surprised to read that the band is done purely because ben doesn't want to do it anymore... and that greg actually seems up for a reunion if given the opportunity. i always got the exact opposite vibe from his interviews lol

when i caught greg's solo gig and he started singing dillinger a cappella i thought it came off kinda cheap but now it seems really sad in retrospect

there’s a lot of resentment in those Better Lovers lyrics…

Sounds like all of the other members just hate Greg, based on Ben's statements

Edit: wow those Better Lovers lyrics are definitely aimed at Ben lol

they don't hate Greg, Liam and Billy have since gone to Greg's shows for Better Lovers, etc

Ben just seems really cantankerous and bitter for no reason here. like, if there's nothing else to say, why blast Greg as being an independent contractor when you're getting paid playing in ST while reaping most of the profit off your legacy?

I really thought maybe Jordan had input in those lyrics and it was aimed at Keith but now I’m definitely thinking Greg is just very angry about the whole thing.

i don't necessarily think there is "no reason" for it, i assume its whatever greg and ben are always saying "they aren't gonna talk about"... but agreed that ben does not come off amazingly there.

both are prob better off just not talking about it anymore but something tells me greg will absolutely be responding to this somehow lol... is this the first time ben has spoken about it on a deeper level than the "final chapter" cliches?

That I know of. Aside from promoting that fucking One of Us is the Killer comic I never see him say anything about Dillinger.

Ben calling Greg an “independent contractor” is so cold. Makes it sound like business over artistic expression.

Calculating Infinity is obviously incredible but I don’t think it’s unfair to say that without Greg the band would’ve never taken off like they did. To me Greg is just as integral to the band as Ben.

Yeah, I really do not see this band getting back together for even a reunion now.

Yeah, Ben wanted to out Greg but somehow ended up looking worse than Greg.
