That's the worst of the three post-Watershed albums imho because it bears almost zero resemblance to the album they SHOULD have been trying to recapture the vibe of...Damnation.

I think prog Opeth is underrated tho. Tbh I’m usually either listening to Morningrise and back or Watershed and forward

Oh yeah, Axe's drumming is still great as always. I just find the songs on this album underwhelming compared to their other material.

Funny, cause I personally enjoy what they’re doing now more than most of their highly acclaimed works. If they went back to writing metal I would want them to keep this style of writing with heavier sensibilities. Sorceress is already heavier than Pale Communion was though so who knows what they’ll do next
