My prediction is the new one will have exactly one track that feels forward thinking production wise and the rest will be generic octanecore mixed with a couple saccharine MTM ballads.

Probably. I'd like to have a solid octanecore record from Linkin Parked though.
I thought most forward thinking they tried here was very poorly executed, and I will never expect another A Thousand Suns from them haha

This was probably the first LP album I listened to in full out of my own volition, not because someone else put it on
I am pretty nostalgic to it, but I also think it's just so far ahead of LT, ATS and MTM, it's not even funny. Heavier LP is best LP, apart from the odd Chester ballad. I always have a soft spot for those.

I feel like some people give this album a bit too much credit just because it's not pop and pop isn't cool. I was guilty of this too at first.
Production is pretty bad and it's just not very memorable for the most part.
Keys to the Kingdom is one hell of an opener though.
