^ this right here. i dont listen to grimes for how weird she sounds or w/e, her songs just sound good for the most part. and the ones that sound the best tend to be her simpler, more concise poppy songs so i hope to see more of those. she has a real gift for writing really catchy vocal melodies and i think it would be a shame for her to not display it and instead go a more 'artsy' route or w/e just to appease a few self important fans
