I don't really have an issue with Spencer's vocal capabilities on here, it's just that they don't mesh well with all the instrumental chaos. That's no fault of Spence, I don't think these tracks were written with vocals in mind. They kinda sound intrusive to me, I prefer the instrumental alternative.
Suppose it's the same reason a lot of Dance Gavin Dance material doesn't stride with me either. It's like someone trying to make a speech inside a trash compactor.
